World Environment Day (WED) occurs on 5 June every year, and is the United Nation’s principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. The date isn’t just a day to read about the problems affecting the countryside, it is all about action and physically getting off your chair to do something to help preserve nature.
Around the world people will be planting trees, cleaning up their neighborhoods and taking action against wildlife crimes.
The day itself is all about raising awareness about nature and the importance of protecting it so anything that has people embracing the outdoors is a small step towards helping.
We at RE/MAX Heritage have seen and as a company, we have decided to invest our time and effort in planting 1 million trees within the next 5 – 10 years through partnerships with our clients in a project dabbed “Miti Millioni”. We currently have parcels of land in Kiambu, Embu and Nanyuki that have been earmarked for this venture.
What is on offer is parcels of land with the minimum being an 1/8th (eighth) in strategic locations where the investor will in partnership with RE/MAX Heritage plant trees upon purchase. RE/MAX Heritage will oversee the actual tree planting and management of the seedling for a period of 1 1/2 years when the trees no longer require any care.
